My Spring/Summer Quilt

Spring is here (finally)! This got me in the mood to make a new quilt to lighten up the room and make it brighter. I have a King size bed so this is quite an undertaking! The finished size will be about 114 x 126. I decided on a single Irish Chain, scrappy looking. I used two jelly rolls called Zen Chic by Moda. I've had them for awhile and I'm sure it isn't a current line; but if you like the colors, Zen Flow Chic is their current fabric and they look very similar.

I've sewn 200 blocks together. I needed to order some more background fabric and this will arrive tomorrow. Once I have them sewn together, this is the quilting pattern I plan on quilting in the background:

This is from Judy Madsen's book "Quilting Wide Open Spaces". She is my role model for custom quilting.
